For Christmas I got the book “The 4-Hour Body” by Tim Ferriss. My wife (who gave it to me) has read more of it than I have and after finishing the section on loosing weight, decided we were going on the slow-carb diet outlined in the book. I was all for it, since I’ve been trying to get her to go on a diet with me for a while. She doesn’t need it like I do, but its so much easier when you’re both eating the same food.
So here’s my stats as of Mon (10 Jan 2011) night when we took them (just to add more social pressure to make sure I stick with it):
Weight: 214.6; Fat%: 25; Muscle%: 55.9;
Measurements: chest: 42; waist: 44; hips: 42.5; thighs: 46; neck: 15.5
Now that you know more about me than you probably ever wanted to, feel free to make fun of me for being overweight and not anything like the picture in my avatar (that was 3 years ago). This will make me even more motivated to stick with this diet for at least a month, which should (according to Tim) result in at least 20lbs of fat-loss in a month from now. Now it is fat loss, so my fat percentage should change, as well as my measurements, even if I’m not down to 195 in my overall weight (though hopefully I’ll get there too).
I’ve gotta say, its harder than it sounds when you read the rules. However the “free days” make it all possible (at least for me) because I can just tell myself “wait until Sat.” Check it out: “The 4-Hour Body” by Tim Ferriss
I’ll post before and after pictures in a month when I’m done.
